  • @ Tennis TV HOw about not spoiling the outcome of the results by the title. Nobody is here to watch highlights of a match they haven't seen only to know the outcome before the highlights even start. This is "no duh." Why the hell would you do this?

    • @Hritabrata Lahiri Jesus Christ you guys just don't get it, I am not saying that Sinner is not a good player, what I'm saying is that for a guy who's only accomplishment is reaching the QF of a Grand Slam and who has made ZERO ATP FINALS being made comparable to Novak Djokovic pre 2010 is way over the top. Nick Kyryos at the same age as Sinner reached the QF of Wimbledon and BEAT Nadal along the way, Is Kyryos winning multiple grand slams ?. You're statement "When it comes to talent Sinner is way ahead of Felix A A , if there is straight face off between Sinner and Felix A A Sinner would obliterate him" shows how immature you are, and proves my point, the very tournament that they are playing in currently Felix made the final of last week, but you think that Felix is so far behind that Sinner would (in your words) obliterate him, it would be that easy. Once again I want to say that I am not saying that Sinner is not good but the hype from people about this kid is so over top, and your comment proves that.

Fallen DevonishFallen DevonishIl y a mois
    • @Fallen Devonish Sinner started playing tennis at the age of 13. Doesn't matter how many finals Felix A A played he will never able to reach the QF of roland garros which is probably the toughest grand slam that Sinner reached in his first appearance. When it comes to talent Sinner is way ahead of Felix A A , if there is straight face off between Sinner and Felix A A Sinner would obliterate him. Sinner is probably the most naturally talented and composed teenager I've seen in recent years. The last match that he won against Simon who is a seasoned campaigner on the tour just demonstrates why he is so highly rated, any youngster in that position would've buckled because he lost 8 games in a row and bounced back from there. He showed remarkable composure in the face of adversity. It's not only about his talent it's also about the character that he has on court which makes him stand out among the youngsters.

Hritabrata LahiriHritabrata LahiriIl y a mois
    • Are you on drugs, Novak was a grand slam champion before 2010, he had been as high as no 2 in the world, Sinner hasn't even made an ATP final, Felix A A is one year older and has made 7 finals, and I wouldn't say you could even compare him to the any of the big four, let Sinner actually achieve a few things before you start comparing him to the greats.

  • I'm sure this has been answered like a million times but why are there 2 cologne tournaments which are basically the same one after the other??

benjamin hinebenjamin hineIl y a mois
    • @benjamin hine I think it has many reasons. First of all ist the money they have to spend of course. Then it is a 250 tournament where the first week was at the same time of st. petersburg, which is a 500. So I guess twice 250 makes up for that. And the main reason is Corona, I guess its easier for everyone if the players get to stay at the same place for a longer time and have 2 chances at a tournament. I think it´s a good idea.

    • @mudr kk Zverev is not a pusher. Sure he tries to grind out rallies, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t swing at the ball. He is like djockovic, grinding out rallies to win them. I’m glad he beat sinner today, hope he wins the final again.

    • @The DownUnder Gamer Nadal stands far back when dealing with the serve. Many clay specialists do that. However, Nadal immediately and ruthlessly takes the initiative. He is not passive at all. This Zverev guy sits 2 metres almost all the time. Pay attention when watching his matches. For such a tall player with a big serve this shouldn't be his game. He is basically a pusher.

    • @mudr kk i like Zverev and always hope for him to win. But this is the first time I saw someone addressing his real weak points. Not his gold chains, not that he is arrogant. Not that he's smashing rackets. Wouldn't put it in that harsh words though. I think he only lost to Thiem in the US Open finals because he was afraid to lose. There were other games I saw where the final set was in the deciding stage and then he only played the ball back hoping for the oponent to make a mistake. He improved a lot his mind set and temper but playing too cautiously and defensive at big points is still his biggest weak point. If he plays like against Thiem in the first two sets he can achieve everything, then he is almost unbeatable. But unfortunately he does not show that form very often.

    • @mudr kk I mean Nadal stands really far back. I don't think Nadal is a coward.

  • Like I said yesterday... still on track for the "realistic Zverev FAA final" All I meant was... why not expect the same finalists to repeat? Sinner and Diego will obv make the SFs great. (This will be removed if the crystal ball comments persist. Opinions are welcome if accompanied with supportive analysis. Claiming you KNOW the future, is grounds for censorship). So chose your "grammar" carefully...

    • Dan de Castro I hope we see a different match up than Zverev vs FAA, cause FAA makes far too many errors to make his matches against top 10 players interesting. Sinner definitely has a chance versus Zverev, especially considering he beat him at the FO recently and because he won after losing 8 games in a row today

      PatrickPatrickIl y a mois
    • I still hope Diego wins... but FAA will probably win

  • This win for Sinner is a huuuuge win. He had a complete black-out but managed to solve the problem. Amazing for a guy with almost no experience in ATP

    • It's even more special because he lost 8 games in a row - he was already a break down in the third. He could have completely collapsed.

    • @Tao Paille-Paille Also, Sinner raised his level in set 3 changing his game plan with lots more drop-shots and a few forehands cross-court.

    • @CDSava 123 Zverev lost sets in his two matches. Sinner lost 60 and was losing 20 and he was able to react. Zverev is the favourite, but if Sinner wins it won't be a suprise for me
