  • I'm not qualified to question Rafa playing style but as a devoted fan of him i find some issues with his playing style especially on hrad and grass court, he's playing the same way he used to play on clay but he might be forgetting that hard court is different than clay. He should fit forehand backhand flatter than his usual topspin forehand backhand

  • A lot of senseless and useless comments here. In both of these matches any one of theses players would have won any of the matches. It could have been a momentarily lack of concentration, mishit or even physical issues. A player feeling more physical energy on a given day will also have the edge.

    E ChikaE ChikaIl y a 16 jours
  • Nadal looking sharp today, but still losing to Thiem. Typical Claydal on hard/grass courts! Great Claydal has no Atp finals title while Federer and Djokovic have gotten 6 and 5 titles respectively. He will never claim that title.

  • Rublev and especially Diego are the 2 weak elements of the groups as has been evidenced by the results. A fit Roger and maybe Shapovalov would have made this one of the best ever.

    Siddharth VazSiddharth VazIl y a 16 jours
  • Rafa really needs to be more aggressive attacking Stef's backhand with flatter strokes as it isn't as strong as Thiem's. Rafa should back himself more in approaching the net considering how good a volleyer he is. That bit of variety and lesser time for the opponent is what could get Rafa through here.

    RomanRomanIl y a 16 jours
    • Thiem lost only one tiebreak this year, which was to Rublev in Vienna last month. Though, it was likely due to the fact he was injured at the time due to a blister on the right foot that affected his performance. 11-1 record in tiebreaks for the 2020 season alone is still quite phenomenal statistics, though!

  • TennisTV Editors be like: - Thiem comming back from 5:2 in the Tiebreak? - no big deal! - forehand winners from Nadal? - yes please daddy, all of them! ...Highlights of Thiems victory showing 8 points from Nadal and 7 from Thiem. First set literally looks like Nadal dominated it. Usually you make the loser of the match look like he has clearly been dominated (eg. Tsitsipas vs. Rublev: 8 points from Tsitsipas, 4 from Rublev, also not showing 4-points-in-a-row comeback from Rublev in the 3rd set tiebreak) - so apparently your editors are just huge Nadal fans or what? smh

  • As a rafa fan i am very sad from this loss but on the other hand huge gongrats to dominic he is a great player and i believe that a lot rafa fans will support dominc in the future when the king of clay will retire because he has a lot common things with rafa such as his work ethic and his determination to figth for every point for these reasons i am huge dominc fan and i will supporting him more when rafa retire. This rivaly it is known as a clay court rivaly because they played 12 out of 15 on the clay but the 3 matches that they have played on a hard court all was a masterpiece to watch with great quality , rallies etc and i believe that a lot people want to see a lot more hard court matches between these two because their hard matches are quite even and more dramatic from their clay court battles because rafa have dominated most of them so it is very ironic that a clay court rivary is more watchable and dramatic on the hard courts. Finally i want to say good luck to rafa for the match against Stefanos and i want to see a great battle between those two and good luck to Dominic for the rest tournament and if rafa cannot win his first tour finals i want Dominic to take the trorphy
