      AloysiusAloysiusIl y a mois
    • He is injured since Roland Garros, an edema in his psoas, so he is lacking a good mobility. Maybe that was a reason that made he decide to stay in the baseline instead of go to the net. But he’s still recovering. I think he will be 100% just in 2021.

      LucasLucasIl y a mois
    • That was a lob, I don't see how Tsitsipas could have hit this. But I agree that there is room for improvement and Tsitsipas doesn't look too confident at the mo, don't know why since he did so well against Djoko in RG.

      MalichkaMalichkaIl y a mois
    • Agree, Tsitsipas has room to improve a lot, specially in strategy, sometimes he looks "lost" on court, i mean with ugo he failed a lot of times to reach the net when needed and went to the net giving so much advantage to ugo in other moments, his serve and return need to improve too

Paul JohnsonPaul JohnsonIl y a mois
  • Tsitsipas' consistency is all over the place...chokes at R3 USO, loses R1 Rome, loses Hamburg final, reaches RG semis almost winning in 5, loses R2 Vienna and now loses R1 Paris Bercy.

    • @Chris_Digi-Wunderland Yes. And some people just see their great results and forget he’s only 22. He just have 3 season playing at the elite. If you watch their interviews in 2018 he was focused to reach top 50 and he ended the year as world number 15. He is in a constant evolution, but it’s a process. I think he will reach huge things in his career.

      LucasLucasIl y a mois
    • He also made a SF in Cincinnati. But he in injured, he has an edema in his psoas. I think he should have skipped Vienna and Paris, but he tried to play even without a good physical condition. It was not bad, considering he isn’t 100%, he won against Struff in Vienna and lost 2 tough matches against Dimitrov and Humbert, but now he need more time to get well.

      LucasLucasIl y a mois
    • When has he ever be consistant? Where do these high expectations come from regarding Tsitsipas? I mean, final Hamburg and Semi Paris arent that bad. He lost 1 or 2 without need, but that happens in tennis no big deal, today it was extremely close and he lost to Humbert, who is a hot player at the moment.

  • Its so weird and disappointing how inconsistent the next-gen are. Thiem hasn't made a quarter final after winning the US, Tsitsipas suffers frequent early round losses, Medvedev's hardly won a match this year except for the US open. Sasha Zverev seems to be the most consistent of the lot but his second serve and his personal problems might lead to his downfall.

Swagatam GhoshSwagatam GhoshIl y a mois
    • I don't think you can call Thiem Next Gen, he is 27(!), and he has made the Quarterfinals at the French Open and in Vienna, despite being not in his best physical condition. And Tsitsipas did loose his two second round matches against Humbert and Dimitrov, who are great players, too, and he played well in both matches. The only player of those you mentioned, who seems to be in bad form is Medvedev. And the Next Gen are far more players than those four. Rublev and Humbert were amazing in the last weeks. So I think you are going a bit to harsh on them. You can't reach the semifinals/finals at every tournament you play, that's just big 3 things...
