  • Sinner played a little bit worst than usual, surely worst than Roland Garros a month ago. Maybe Vienna's injury has not yet been disposed of. Has been inconsistent with the forehand. De Minaur on the other hand played better than expected. He developed his forehand and backhand. He just have to generate power with the forehand without jumping with both feet. Glad Sinner won in the end. Hope he can grab the title. It would be a good thing for tennis to have such a young and talented player to male another step before 2021 season.

  • Jannik Sinner , according to me , can be , regarding an Italian tennis player ' s best ranking ever , the next Adriano Panatta . The former Roman champion and Davis Cup captain , reached #4 in the world list , but Sinner can do better , because he is only 19 yo and already ranked #38 more or less . Ciao a tutti 🇮🇹😁

  • Sinner has a great backhand but I noticed that he’s much more willing to stay in a cross court exchange than to hit hard down the line for winners even when he has a decent chance. That’s the reason he didn’t win a set against Rafa in FO this year when he clearly had a shot imho

  • I really like Jannik, I hope he keeps winning in the next couple of years. He has so much potential. Regarding De Minaur, he has stop fu****g lifting his left leg when hitting the backhand, he losses power and precision, he needs to correct his position. You can clearly see that he hits better backhands on the stretch rather than on his ground stroke position.

  • That's a real choke by a well established De Minaur against up & coming Sinner....👎 De Minaur usually succumbs during big match plays just as he did recently in Antwerp Finals against Humbert...!! His lose in the final of Next Gen ATP is still fresh in everyone's memory. Poor De Minaur. Hard luck buddy...👎 He needs to up his level just a bit in clutch movements, if he really wants to make a difference even at 250s let alone biggest of events...☝️ Rublev may be a best guide to him...🤣

    MichaelMichaelIl y a 22 jours
    • I have no problem with running around a backhand it’s just going inside out everytime gets predictable, inside in sometimes too.

      MichaelMichaelIl y a 22 jours
    • Every professional player is always trying to hit inside out forehand lol. Not even Gasquet would pass up that opportunity if it is there.

      ShawnShawnIl y a 22 jours
    • True. Watching video of his play pre 2002 shows Fed hitting lots of backhand passing shots when his opponent is at the net. That Fed went away when he relied on the opposite court forehand more to dictate the point.

      Wallace GrommetWallace GrommetIl y a 22 jours
    • @Wallace Grommet Nah, not Neo fed. He uses the backhand more and has less movement capability to hit inside out. This has ultimately made him a more complete player.

    Ajay KumarAjay KumarIl y a 22 jours
  • Alex De Minaur either needs to work on his endurance or energy economy. He ends up spending way too much energy in the first set and is left with nothing in the tank for the third one. He did the same against Nadal where he was humbled in the end during the ATP Cup, and Sinner taught him that chapter again today.

    A Random PersonA Random PersonIl y a 22 jours
    • DeMinaur plays the most exhausting style. If he can imitate Nishikori on the backhand side then playing shorter points becomes a reality. Take the ball early, hit backhand cross court deep then pounce on a short ball down the line

      Wallace GrommetWallace GrommetIl y a 22 jours
    • Ya he must mix it up with shortening of points. He also have to start serve & volley otherwise he will not have enough in his tank especially in grandslams. He just can't defend every point running to each corner of court. He certainly got great speed but that too has it's own limit.
